Nutmeg powder is made from grounded nutmeg. It is simlar to mace, but slightly sweeter. In most parts of India, nutmeg powder is known as 'Jaiphal'. This spice is used especially in sweet dishes in Indian cuisine and it is an important ingredient of garam masala. Nutmeg Powder is commonly used to enhance the flavor of meat dishes.
