Gramdal Kichadi | Recipe


Raw rice 1 cup
Green gram dhal 1/3 cup
Ghee 2 tsp
Black pepper 1½ tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
cashews 8 to 10
Milk 1 cup
Curry leaves



Heat the ghee in the pressure cooker and fry mustard seed, cumin seed, green chili, black pepper, curry leaves and cashew nuts. Wash rice and dal together and fry it for 3 minutes and add 1 cup of milk and 2 cups of water, reduce the flame after keeping the weight on pressure cooker. (3 whistles) After 10 minutes, now the rice is cooked ,mix it well and serve hot with ghee on the top.
